May Update To Members

Quite a few new members joined the Ad Bard Network in April, and we are now serving a combined monthly average of over 5 million advertisement impressions. This puts us in a good place to attract advertisers, the last big remaining piece necessary to make the Ad Bard Network a success for all involved.

In talking with potential advertisers over the past few weeks, their most frequently requested feature is the ability to target one or more specific websites with individual ads. We are implementing this functionality now, and when complete it will offer increased member earnings as targeted advertisements will sell for a higher cost per click. Related configuration options will soon appear in your control panel allowing you to set a minimum targeted price per click and giving you more control over your earnings. As an Ad Bard Member, you will have the option to manually approve advertisements targeted at your website.

An area of our website that greatly needs improvement is the checkout process for purchasing advertisements. We have observed significant confusion with the existing work flow, and are actively focused on simplifying and streamlining this process. We are also undergoing efforts to improve our overall website design and usability.

Finally, we are designing an opt-in sponsorship program. Once completed, as an Ad Bard Network member you will have the ability to set your own price for exclusive weekly or monthly sponsorship of your entire website. The goal of this new program is to allow you to earn much more than you are likely to earn from displaying random advertisements.

The Ad Bard Network is an open source effort building a friendly and mutually beneficial advertising community. Your continuing participation makes it possible. We greatly appreciate your understanding during this start up period in which we haven't had many advertisers. The month of May will be dedicated to attracting advertisers for your website, and improving your earnings. We ask that you remain patient as we work toward these goals.
