Second May Update To Members

A new pricing structure has been enabled on the Ad Bard Network. You are now in complete control over how much advertisers pay to display advertisements on your website. We encourage you to log in to your account and click 'Configuration' in your Website Controls to adjust your current settings. The lower you set your minimum allowable bids, the more advertisements you're likely to see. For that reason, we recommend that you start with lower minimum bids while we work to attract sufficient advertisers, raising your minimum bids as demand increases.

By default, your website will only display advertisements from the general cost-per-click advertisement pool with a bid of $0.05 per click or more. You have to manually enable if you wish to display targeted CPC advertisements. You will receive 80% of the cost per click of each advertisement clicked on your website.

Currently available advertisement sources:

General CPC pool:

Set a minimum price-per-click for advertisements that are not specifically targeted at your website.
Advertisers set their own prices for the non-targeted FOSS-oriented advertisements appearing in the general CPC (cost-per-click) pool. You choose which advertisements to display by selecting advertisement categories, and control how much you make by configuring the minimum bid price for ads displayed on your website. The more an advertiser bids on an advertisement, the more likely it is to be displayed. You earn money each time an advertisement from this pool is clicked.

Targeted CPC pool:

Set a minimum price-per-click for advertisements sold specifically for your website.
When this feature is enabled advertisers have the option of advertising specifically on your website, increasing your potential earnings. When "Allow bids from all categories" is checked, all FOSS-oriented advertisers will be able to request advertising on your website. When the box is not checked, you will only see bids from advertisers in your selected categories. When "Manually approve advertisements" is checked, you will receive an email when an advertiser bids to advertise on your website (after the bid is reviewed by Ad Bard Network support, who will filter out all spam), and new ads will not be displayed until you manually approve them. The higher an advertiser's bid, the more frequently the advertisement will be displayed on your website. You earn money each time an advertisement from this pool is clicked.
